Safety Glass - Plot Description
Filmspot.com has posted a more detailed plot description of the new movie that Hilary Duff is going to be in, Safety Glass:
It is 1986. An emotionally damaged New York reporter is sent to cover the hometown hooplah for a local hero. But rather than pursue his assignment, which leaves him cold, he follows a group of disaffected students, whose own hero - their beloved, unconventional teacher - has just killed himself under a cloud of scandal. Their passionate and, at times, ludicrous expressions of grief attract him. He moves into their alternate universe, a willing substitute teacher, but descends into a web of lies and misplaced sexual desire with this group of confused and combustible youths who attempt to cast him as their new hero and teacher.

Ellen Burstyn to star in Greta with Hilary Duff
Academy Award winning actress Ellen Burstyn will star alongside Hilary Duff in the upcoming movie Greta. Burstyn will play Duff's grandmother. Ellen Burstyn was one of the most successful actresses of the 1970's and 80's receiving five Oscar nominations and six Golden Globe nominations in that period. She won the Oscar in 1975 for her performance in Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore. Burstyn was also nominated for another Academy Award in 2001 for her performance in Requiem for a Dream. She also starred in what many consider to be the scariest movie of all time, The Exorcist.

European Tour Postponed
HilaryDuff.com has posted that the European Tour that was rumored has been postponed:
"Due to Hilary filming 2 movies back to back this fall, the European tour has been postponed until 2008. The tour has not been cancelled, just moved and was never actually officially confirmed."
I was a little skeptical about the European tour dates since Hilary's official site never posted them, so now we know that all of the dates were just rumors and speculation. Hopefully Hilary's European fans will get to see her in 2008.

Several sources are reporting that Hilary Duff will be in two new movies.
One of the films is called Safety Glass. According to IMDB the plot outline is "A reporter is sent to cover the Challenger Space Shuttle launch only to become mixed up in the lives of some local high schoolers." Safety Glass is to star Steve Coogan, Amanda Seyfried, Amber Tamblyn and Molly Shannon.
The second movie is called Greta. Very little is known about the plot of this movie, but apparently Hilary has wanted to do this film for a very long time, and is finally getting a chance. Filming for this movie will take place in September and October.
