Hilary Duff - Toby Keith movie - Provinces of the Night
I wasn't expecting this, but apparently Hilary Duff and Toby Keith will be starring in a movie together called Provinces of the Night.
Here's a plot description:
"It’s 1952, and E.F. Bloodworth is finally coming home to Ackerman’s Field, Tennessee. Itinerant banjo picker and volatile vagrant, he’s been gone ever since he gunned down a deputy thirty years before. Two of his sons won’t be home to greet him: Warren lives a life of alcoholic philandering down in Alabama, and Boyd has gone to Detroit in vengeful pursuit of his wife and the peddler she ran off with. His third son, Brady, is still home, but he’s an addled soothsayer given to voodoo and bent on doing whatever it takes to keep E.F. from seeing the wife he abandoned. Only Fleming, E.F.’s grandson, is pleased with the old man’s homecoming, but Fleming’s life is soon to careen down an unpredictable path hewn by the beautiful Raven Lee Halfacre."
I hate to criticize a movie before it even starts filming, but the casting and plot description both seem a little bit odd. I'm guessing music might play a substantial role in the movie so they had to cast singers? Who knows. Like so many of Hilary's projects these days I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Hilary wants role in Twilight sequel
Hilary Duff is reportedly seeking a role in the upcoming Twilight sequel New Moon. According to Hollyscoop, Hilary wants to play a vampire in the new movie. One of the possible parts is the role of Heidi - a fisher who uses her good looks to lure humans for the vampires to feast on.
It goes without saying that it would be a huge plus for Hilary's career if she could land this role. Unfortunately many of the other young starlets in Hollywood also want the role including Vanessa Hudgens and Dakota Fanning - so competition for the part will be fierce.
