Boxofficemojo.com is reporting that the Material Girls North American release date has been moved up 1 week to August 18, 2006. The reason for the change might be to give the movie more time before kids have to go back to school. Other movies with an August 18, 2006 release date include the Samuel L. Jackson Internet cult classic "Snakes on a Plane".

The Toronto Sun is reporting that Hilary Duff will be returning to Canada once again, performing at the Molson Amphitheater on July 26, 2006. It is unclear if this is part of a bigger tour, or just a single concert.

Hilary Duff Latin America Tour Cancelled

In a sad turn of events for Latin America fans, Hilary Duff had to postpone most of her Latin America tour due to illness. Shows in Panama, Guatemala, Argentina and Brazil were cancelled. According to reports, Hilary was suffering a severe case of tonsillitis, and was ordered by doctors to return to Los Angeles and rest for 10 days. The concerts are currently being rescheduled for later in the summer.
