John Cusack comments on Brand Hauser

John Cusack recently talked about his two upcoming movies, Grace Is Gone and of course Brand Hauser. Both movies have something to do with the Iraq war. Since Cusack referred to the movie as Brand Hauser I guess that's going to be the title (not War Inc.) although that could probably change between now and when the movie comes out.

What John had to say about Hilary:

"Brand Hauser is about the people trying to exploit war - the war profiteers. That one's more like we're trying to take a fire hose and blow it right in their faces. Hilary plays a tacky pop star of Central Asia, and she's great. We had a great time, and she rocks in the film."

Gypsy Woman Song About Nicole Richie?

Just Jared is speculating that Hilary Duff's new song "Gypsy Woman" might be about Nicole Richie:

Hilary has one more song to record called “Gypsy Woman,” who is, as Hilary described about “someone else.” Nicole Richie, perhaps? (Nicole is dating Hilary’s ex Joel Madden from Good Charlotte.)

I usually try not to get caught up in gossip. I like to stick with facts, but this tidbit seemed intriguing to me. It isn't the first time that one of Hilary's songs has been linked to another celebrity. Her 2004 song "Haters" was widely speculated to be about Lindsay Lohan. Haters was one of the few songs on Hilary's previous albums that she had a writing credit on, so perhaps she likes to fight her celebrity battles in the form of song lyrics? Unfortunately we probably will never know for sure if Gypsy Woman is about Nicole Richie or not. Hilary never officially admitted to Haters being about Lohan, so I don't see her admitting anything about this song either.

Dignity CD to include a DVD?

direct-current is reporting that Hilary's new CD will also include a DVD:

Hilary Duff returns with a new studio album April 3 titled "Dignity" and a new single "With Love" launching mid-February to pop radio. The video will premiere on MTV 02/08. The "Dignity" album will be coming in a special CD/DVD combo pack and will include her recent single "Play With Fire."

I don't know how accurate this information is, so I guess we'll have to wait and see if this is true or not.

"Hilary has co-written all the songs on “Dignity”, always aiming high and ultimately creating an album of depth and consequence.
