Hilary Shopping in the Rain - December 20, 2010

Hilary Duff braved the rare Southern California rain on Monday as she did some (Christmas?) shopping at Barneys New York in Beverly Hills. To fight the elements Hilary wore a hat, jacket and rain boots.

I looked up this movie to see if any of Hilary's friends are in it, and sure enough the name Alanna Masterson came up. Alanna Masterson is the sister of Hilary's ex-boyfriend Jordan Masterson. Kylie Minogue thinks Hilary could play her in a Movie

Kylie Minogue was asked who should play her if there was ever a movie made about her life. Kylie brought up Hilary Duff's name as a possibility:

Who would play me? I don’t know! Not me. I’ve lived it once, I don’t need to live through it again in biopic form. I’ve been told Hilary Duff resembles me. If she could manage to lose the American accent perhaps that would work.

This isn't the first time Hilary has been compared to Kylie Minogue. Many people said that Hilary's music on her album Dignity was somewhat similar to Minogue's music.

Elixir Book Trailer

Here's a trailer for Elixir that was made by Simon and Schuster and narrated by Hilary Duff. It's pretty good and definitely makes you want to read the book.

Hilary Duff and her friend, costume designer Sommer Terry hit the road on Friday for a girls weekend to Palm Springs. Hilary's sister Haylie also joined in the fun arriving on Saturday.

Hilary Duff was on air with Ryan Seacrest recently. She talked about her wedding and marriage. Hilary also talked about her new book Elixir and the writing process. Hilary also talked about how Mike hasn't read the book yet and instead he just watches hockey on TV. It was also mentioned that Hilary was the first guest on Ryan Seacrest's show seven years ago.

New Movie - She Wants Me

Hilary Duff has been cast in the new independent movie She Wants Me that has just started filming.

Variety had a description of the plot:

"Follows the tale of a neurotic writer Sam, played by Josh Gad who is making his next feature film and becomes conflicted after Duff's A-list starlet character shows interest in playing the lead role, which he has already promised to girlfriend and struggling actress, Sammy, played by Kristen Ruhlin."

It's unclear whether this will be a light romantic comedy, or something a bit darker. Director Rob Margolies has directed one other film, Lifelines which dealt with a dysfunctional family. That movie was apparently a fairly dark comedy. It will be interesting to see if She Wants Me is similar.

According to Hilary's twitter, her book Elixir made the New York Times bestseller list. Hilary can now add Bestselling Author to her growing list of accomplishments.

Hilary Duff is on the cover of Health magazine. The magazine interviewed her about her healthy lifestyle. She talked about her favorite foods and shared some insight into her workout routine. Hilary also talked about how she endured scrutiny about her weight, and a period of her life where she was not eating properly and was too skinny as a result.

This interview was from last week. I didn't realize that Hilary sat down with Kathy Lee and Hoda along with doing an interview for the "regular" Today Show.

This was a pretty basic interview with Hilary talking about Elixir and the writing process. She also talked a little bit about married life.
