Possible New Movie - Talking to Dog with John Cusack
Moviehole.net is reporting that John Cusack and Hilary Duff will team for Writer/director Mark Roper’s new film, "Talking to Dog".
According to Moviehole the movie is "a cross between "Mad Max" and "Blue Velvet", the film is set in a post apocalyptic future where man has suffered the wrath of global warning, and woman have suffered the inability to have children. Time has stood still for two, small communities. The consequences of Global warming, the lack of fuel, power and communication, have left them in isolation. Dying has become an industry, a woman able to give birth, now only a dream. Into this environment, a young man arrives. He is able to communicate with the dead, able to learn secrets of the past. Because of his presence, the two communities learn that love, in a dying world, is still alive and that there is always hope, even over greed."
The plot definitely sounds - interesting. The problem is that this news is very hard for me to believe. Hilary Duff and John Cusack just finished filming Brand Hauser together. It seems strange to me that they would make another movie together in such a short time. Also the plot of "Talking to Dog" sounds kind of similar to the recent critically acclaimed film "Children of Men."
I am definitely putting this news in the "rumor" category right now, but if it turns out to be true it would be great for Hilary's career. She would be doing another movie that falls outside of her typical genre, and working with Cusack again - possibly forging a professional relationship that could bring about great roles in the future.

Hilary Duff attends Fashion Week in New York City
I'm not really a fan of bright red lipstick, but that's just my opinion.

Hilary Duff Dating Baseball Player Barry Zito?
Rumors are circulating that Hilary Duff might have found a new boyfriend in baseball player Barry Zito. Several sources are reporting that the two have been seeing each other, but Hilary wants to take things slowly because of her recent break up with Joel Madden. Us Weekly was the first to report on the new couple, but Hilary's publicist told them that they're just friends.
Barry Zito recently became the highest paid pitcher in major league history when he signed a seven-year, $126 million contract with the San Francisco Giants. He previously played for the Oakland A's. Barry Zito is 28 years old. He is 6 foot four, 210 pounds.
My take on this is that it's just a rumor. Apparently Zito was among a group of people who attended LA nightclub Hyde with Hilary, and so now people are assuming they are dating. I really don't see it happening. The first thing that I thought of when I heard this was that Barry Zito is 6-4! He's over a foot taller than Hilary and weighs twice as much! Not that size makes a difference in a relationship, but it just seems odd, especially considering Joel Madden is on the short side. Barry Zito does make a ton of money though, and there was speculation that part of the reason Hilary and Joel broke up was that Hilary made so much more money than Joel, so maybe Hilary wants someone who makes more than she does (if that's even possible). One thing that Zito does have going for him is that he plays guitar, and Hilary seems to like musicians.
