Dignity First Week Sales

According to Hits Daily Double's weekly chart, Hilary Duff's new album Dignity sold 144,194 copies in the first week of sales. This is good enough to put Dignity at #3 on the chart coming in behind the pop compilation album NOW 24, and Tim McGraw's Let It Go.

Dignity's sales number surpassed the 120,000 estimate that Hits Daily Double published last Wednesday based on one day sales. In that same article Hits predicted that Timbaland would be in contention for the number one album, but he was only able to make it to the #4 position selling 141,922 copies. Country singer Martina McBride rounds out the top five selling 138,838 albums.

It is important to note that Hits Daily Double uses MediaBase to compile album sales, while Billboard uses SoundScan. So when the Billboard results are announced it is possible that the numbers will be slightly different.
