Hilary's Haunted House used in Horror Movie

The ranch that Hilary Duff's family used to own (or still does?) was used in the horror movie All the Boys Love Mandy Lane.

According to IMDB's Trivia Page for the movie:

* The main ranch house in the film used to belong to Hilary Duff's family.
* Hilary Duff memorabilia from Casper Meets Wendy (1998) (TV) was found by the crew during principal photography.
* Local legend has it that John Wilkes Booth evaded capture in Virginia after his assassination of Abraham Lincoln and was the caretaker on the ranch property. He told the property owners his true identity as he was dying. They buried him in an unmarked grave next to the oak tree which Mandy Lane walks by to see Garth.
* The Ranch used for shooting had a cemetery with over 60 graves from the 1800's next to the house. The graves were from a town, which no longer exists.
* A little girl died in the upstairs bedroom in the ranch house after asphyxiating. Locals claim she still haunts the house. It is claimed a little girl in a white dress was seen several times in the ranch house during night shoots, even though there were never any children on set.

These trivia facts are in line with what Hilary has said about the haunted ranch. A 2004 Contact Music article stated:

Hilary Duff fears her new home in Austin, Texas, is haunted and she's dreading coming face to face with her ghost.
The actress/singer owns a ranch house just outside Austin - with its own cemetery - and she's still coming to terms with the fact that the place has spooks.
She says, "There was a little girl that died upstairs in the 1800s and supposedly it's haunted there, so watch out.
"There's always like weird things, like weird vibes and like shutters will close sometimes and doors and it's very old, so it's like really creaky."

I had never heard of All the Boys Love Mandy Lane until today, but it is interesting that it was filmed in Hilary's house that could be haunted! Thanks to rogelioduff at HilaryFan for the tip.
