According to a Reuters article, Hilary Duff will play a lawyer in an upcoming Fox show:
"Singer/actress Hilary Duff is attached to play a young lawyer in a Fox sitcom that might be described as a legal version of "Doogie Howser, M.D."
The network has ordered a script for "Barely Legal," a comedy based on the true story of Kathleen Holtz, who in 2007 passed the notoriously difficult California bar at age 18 to become the state's youngest lawyer."
It is hard to tell how good of a chance this project has of actually getting off the ground. If it does see the light of day I would be excited for it, especially since Hilary would be the main character. The premise seems a little questionable but I think the fact that it's a true story gives it credibility. Also being a comedy it doesn't have to be too serious or dramatic.
