Hilary disses Pittsburgh?

Hilary Duff has caused a stir in Pittsburgh after she publicly joked that she wished her husband Mike Comrie played closer to LA. Hilary commented that she was envious of Carrie Underwood because her husband just got traded to Nashville.

"I'm a little envious of her right now because he just got traded to Nashville. Like, really? I'm like, Come on! I'll take San Jose. I'll take any place closer than Pittsburgh!"

Apparently this caused a firestorm of sorts on local Pittsburgh talk radio. I'm guessing the phone lines were flooded with angry callers upset that Hilary disrespected their city.

Hilary responded by tweeting:

ok!this is getting crazy.no sneaky motives to get mike out of Pitt everybody!he loves it there and cant wait to get back on the ice!

and then:

its a shame that me making a joke in jest,people can twist to sound so negative! p. s. love the burgh too :)

So there you have it. Hilary was just joking and she loves "the burgh". Case closed.
