Dignity News - Lyrics about Madden and Richie?

A new article on Radar Online states that Hilary Duff's new album Dignity is mostly about her relationship with Joel Madden and her subsequent break-up. The article also says that some of the songs are about Madden's new girlfriend Nicole Richie. Radar cites the lyrics to several songs to back up their claims.

Lyrics from Dignity: "Where's your dignity? I think you lost it in the Hollywood Hills, Can't buy respect but you can pick up that bill. Always with Mr. Right, but then you have a fight / Run into your friend's ex, he's happy to be your next / Tomorrow's paper's coming out so kiss him fast, watch the cameras flash." Those lyrics are from the title track from Dignity.

Lyrics from Stranger: "You treat me like a queen when we go out / Wanna show everyone what our love's about / All wrapped up in me whenever there's a crowd / But when no one's around there's no kindness in your eyes, When I think of all the time we wasted, I could cry."

Lyrics from Gypsy Woman: "She lets you think that you found her first / That's how she works her sick and twisted gypsy curse. / Talks with a grin 'cause she's got no shame / Enjoy the fame, bringing down the family name."

I had previously speculated that the song Gypsy Woman was about Nicole Richie, but I didn't have anything to back it up until now. While all lyrics are open to in interpretation, a quote from the Radar Online article seems to confirm that at least some of the songs on the album are about Joel Madden and Nicole Richie - "Asked whether the songs on Dignity were written specifically about the love triangle, Duff's spokeswoman replied, 'Some are, yes.'"
